What is the country’s legal stance on marijuana use? Marijuana is considered a drug and its illegal in Turkey, but in many plantations, such as rice fields, they grow marijuana. If you get caught there are many different punishments, such as jail or a large fine.

What is the most commonly abused illegal drug in your country? The most commonly abused illegal drug in Turkey is heroin. It is listed as a major cause of drug related deaths. The percentage was higher for females than males for using this drug. A wide range of ages use drugs in Turkey, with the youngest being 11 and the oldest being 67.
